Rectask shows recruiters the people behind new job ads: a name, a job title, a work email and sometimes a work mobile. If you would rather not appear, tell us here. We remove you from every workspace and make sure you do not come back.
Rectask handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can ask what we hold about you (APP 12), ask us to correct it (APP 13), and ask us to stop using it for direct marketing (APP 7). We treat a removal request as a request to stop using and disclosing your information, and we honour it.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to access and correct the personal information an agency holds about you (principles 6 and 7). We respond within 20 working days as the Act requires, and in practice much faster.
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection under the GDPR and UK GDPR. A removal request is handled as an erasure request under Article 17 and an objection under Article 21. We respond within one month.
Rectask's own systems read public job advertisements and other public sources, such as company websites and professional profiles, to identify the people likely to be hiring. Every email address is checked before a recruiter sees it. Recruiters using Rectask agree to use the information only to contact people about work, and never to resell it.
If you are not happy with how we handled your request, tell us first at hello@regnaoperations.com. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner, or your local data protection authority.
